Instructor, Mr. Joe Rigg, IV Dan.

Mr Joe Rigg, 4th Dan Black Belt, started his martial arts journey at Hillingdon school of Taekwon-do in 2005 under the watchful eye of his instructor Grandmaster T.Y. Au. He achieved his first-degree black belt in 2012 under Grandmaster RM K Choy and swiftly moved through the ranks of the federation. Mr Rigg has a successful competing career, winning many Golds in many tournaments, most recently winning all Golds in Patterns, Sparring and both Destruction techniques. Mr Rigg is also a part of the BUTF demonstration team and a squad competition member.

Mr Rigg passed his instructors course, with the highest marks, in 2022, proving his knowledge and understanding of Taekwon-do he has gained throughout nearly twenty years of training, competing and teaching.

Mr Rigg is a dynamic and passionate martial artist who has natural ability for the Art and thrives on passing his knowledge on to others. Confident in his ability, he enjoys teaching all age ranges, loves making Taekwon-do fun, accessible and inclusive for all, while maintaining the standard of Taekwon-do that is expected from the British United Taekwon-do Federation.
